Darts at Willowbrook was first played approximately 20 years ago, but after a few years the players moved to the Westmeadows Tavern and played there for a number of years until the size of the venue and the placement of the darts board made it impractical to play games safely for all around.
Then 7 years ago as interested increased and coming to agreement with the Football & Cricket Club at Willowbrook the Darts moved back to Willowbrook.
Today we hold the League meeting (MDL) and regular League Tournaments as well.
We currently have 6 teams on a Wednesday night playing with around 50+ Members with crowds ranging from 50-80 people on these nights.
Last season seen a wide range of ages play the game of darts from 14 years to 80 years old.
We see ourselves very much as a community based club providing an opportunity for local residents to participate in a team sport in a family friendly and safe environment, which has been created by our club.
It also provides an opportunity for people from diverse backgrounds to come together in the spirit of sport, strengthen local community bonds and build lifelong friendships.
